Woody Woodland's has worked for The Fly Shop® for the past 16 years and is a Federation of Fly Fishers certified Master Instructor who loves sharing his passion for casting with those wishing to begin this fascinating sport. He has been on the staff of the Family Camps since their beginning and has watched some of the earlier campers grow to become counselors. In the shop he is known as the librarian, and is very proud of the book and DVD section he developed and maintains. He enjoys freshwater fishing but admits to being a saltwater fanatic and claims if he could only fish for one species it would have to be the wily permit. |

Justin Miller started teaching at our FISHCAMP program during the 2004 season. He has since proved to be a dedicated angler and instructor, working and studying in his free time to master a variety of casting techniques, including spey casting. He's added a lot to our program over the past couple of years, and is now an FFF Certified Casting Instructor as well. |

Cory Williams is the Sales Manager and one of The Fly Shop's® Casting Instructors.
Cory is a part of our excellent retail staff and leads the instructing staff for The Fly Shop’s® Spey Casting Clinics. He is one of the most knowledgeable resources of fly fishing, casting, and tying anywhere, and Cory also gives private casting lessons when he is not working in the shop. These are one-on-one lessons in which he can take you through the basic fly casting techniques or improve your already formed casting stroke. |

Shane Kohlbeck first started guiding for The Fly Shop® in 1997. In the years since, he has also has spent time guiding all over the world, including Los Roques, Venezuela, Penrhyn Atoll, Rapid’s Camp Lodge in the Bristol Bay region, Alaska, and Hoodoo Lodge in the remote Southwest Alaska, as well as continuing to guide all of the fabled waters of Northern California during the fall and winter months. Now that Shane has settled down and tied the knot, he's back to guiding full-time on the Lower Sacramento, Upper Sacramento, McCloud, and Pit Rivers. Shane's experience and expert instruction (he's also an FFF certified casting instructor) make any day on the water a productive fishing and learning experience. |
